NSW: Gunman shoots man and woman in legs
SYDNEY, April 13 AAP - A gunman shot a woman and a man in the legs in Sydney's red light
district early today, police said.
Police were called to Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, about 1am where ambulance officers
were treating a man, aged in his 20s, for a bullet wound to a leg, a police spokeswoman said.
Officers then discovered a woman, aged in her 20s, in a nearby unit, who had also been shot
in a leg.
The pair was taken to St Vincents Hospital in a stable condition.
The gunman was described as a male caucasian, 180cm tall, wearing jeans and a flannelette
shirt.
The spokeswoman appealed for witnesses to the shootings to come forward.
