Qld: Thiess charged over workplace death
The construction company which employed a man .. killed when a concrete beam fell on
him on a Brisbane busway .. has been charged over the death.
Thiess has been charged for breaching a section of the Workplace Health and Safety
Act by failing to meet its health and safety obligations.
The 25-year-old man died 12 months ago when an 18-metre concrete bridge beam fell about
six metres from its pier supports to the ground.
The case goes to court in February.
