FED: Sunsets tour sells out in most capital cities in minutes

SYDNEY, April 30 AAP - Tickets to the farewell tour for Aussie rockers Powderfinger
have sold out across most capital cities within minute of going on sale.

More than 140,000 tickets have already sold out for the Sunsets tour which went on
sale at 9am (AEST) on Friday.

The September-October tour will visit 21 cities in every state and territory, supported
by Jet and The Vines at different locations.

It will be the final curtain call for the Brisbane band who, after more than 20 years
together announced their split earlier this month.

Dates for Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Townsville, Ballarat, Newcastle,
Wollongong and the Gold Coast sold out minutes after going on sale.

Second shows announced in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth also sold out shortly
after being announced.

Tickets are still on sale in Hobart, Darwin, Tamworth, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton,
Toowoomba, Canberra, Albury, Bendigo, the Caloundra Music Festival and a second date announced
for Townsville.
